MCL (Mister Consultants Limited) is born from a desire of the Director, Damon Jacobsen, to help business owners with compliance aspects of their business. Let’s face it, compliance requirements can be challenging and often distract you from the things you’d rather focus on. Sadly, compliance can be viewed as a necessary evil or just “a pain in the butt” yet, if done well, it can be a means of improving your business’ performance and outcomes.
The Company name derives from Damon being referred to, in both a professional or personal capacity, as Mr HR or Mr Safety. Specializing in Human Resources and Health & Safety management, MCL will work with you in your compliance requirements to improve your business’ performance.

About the owner
Born and raised in New Plymouth, Damon is married with two beautiful children, residing in the country village of Lepperton, Taranaki. As a Justice of the Peace and sitting on 5 local community boards as a Trustee, Damon is committed to contributing to his local community where he can.
Damon is qualified in both Human Resource Management and Health & Safety, holding a BBS – Human Resource Management and a Graduate Diploma in Occupational H&S Management. Damon also holds a Diploma in Psychology, is a Professional Member of NZISM, and is a member of HRNZ.
Damon’s working career has primarily been in the manufacturing sector, spanning over 20 years. Ten years was spent working in processing, warehouse or administration duties, often operating equipment or machines, some of which were high risk. This has given him an understanding of how work is done and perceived by the general workforce. A further ten plus years has been spent at the senior management level, where he has experience in managing HR and H&S, at a senior level, within 2 large manufacturing organizations.
Working in the education sector for over 7 years, Damon gained experience in managing people, teaching adult students, and meeting government compliance requirements. He understands the highs and lows of managing people to meet business objectives.
Comfortable in the compliance arena, Damon would like to assist you where he can, keeping solutions simple, but effective, where possible.
